Disclosed are a floating population measurement device capable of measuring the number of populations gathered in a densely populated area in real time by utilizing a drone and a floating population measurement sensor and a method thereof. According to one embodiment, the floating population measurement device includes: a communication unit that performs communication with a drone with a sensor for population measurement; an interface unit that receives input data from a user and outputs generated output data to the user; and a control unit that controls the communication unit and the interface unit. The control unit transmits a flight control signal to the drone through the communication unit and receives population measurement data from the drone to calculate at least one of the number of populations in a specific area and population density of a specific area.

    드론과 유동 인구 측정 센서를 활용하여 밀집 지역에 모인 인구의 숫자를 실시간으로 측정할 수 있는 유동 인구 측정 장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 일 실시예에 따른 유동 인구 측정 장치는 인구 측정을 위한 센서가 구비된 드론과 통신을 수행하는 통신부; 사용자로부터 입력 데이터를 수신하며, 생성된 출력 데이터를 사용자에게 출력하는 인터페이스부; 및 통신부 및 인터페이스부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함하며, 제어부는 통신부를 통해 드론에 비행 제어 신호를 전송하며, 드론으로부터 인구 측정 데이터를 수신하여 특정 지역의 인구수 및 인구밀도 중 적어도 하나를 계산할 수 있다.
