The present invention relates to a field emission propulsion device, comprising: an emitter unit in which a metal used as a propellant for an artificial satellite is prewetted; an accelerator unit that emits and accelerates metal ions from the emitter unit; a storage unit that stores the metal used as a propellant and supplies liquid metal to the emitter unit; and a heater unit that heats and liquefies the metal used as a propellant stored in the storage unit and the metal prewetted in the emitter unit, wherein a voltage difference is generated between the emitter unit and the accelerator unit so that the metal liquefied by the heater unit is emitted as ions from the emitter unit and accelerated to generate propulsion.

    본 발명은 전계방출 추진장치에 관한 것으로, 인공위성의 추진제로 사용되는 금속이 프리웨팅된 에미터유닛, 상기 에미터유닛으로부터 금속이온을 방출시키고 가속시키는 가속기유닛, 추진제로 사용되는 금속을 저장하고 상기 에미터유닛에 액체 금속을 공급하는 저장유닛, 및 상기 저장유닛에 저장된 추진제로 사용되는 금속과 상기 에미터유닛에 프리웨팅된 금속을 가열하여 액화시키는 히터유닛을 포함하며, 상기 에미터유닛과 가속기유닛에 전압차를 발생시켜 상기 히터유닛에 의해 액화된 금속이 상기 에미터유닛으로부터 이온으로 방출되고 가속되어 추진력을 발생시킬 수 있다.
