The present invention relates to a vehicle tracking method for parking control that can efficiently perform parking control by tracking the location of vehicles in a parking lot in real time based on video information from multiple cameras installed to capture the entire parking lot without blind spots (for example, overlapping installation of 3 to 4 cameras per 100 parking spaces) instead of the existing method of installing one camera per four parking spaces, thereby minimizing the number of cameras installed for a parking control system. The vehicle tracking method may include a step of registering a pixel number in the video corresponding to the real-time location of a moving vehicle in a parking lot in a location tracking database.

    본 발명은 4개의 주차면 당 1개의 카메라를 설치하는 기존의 방식을 배제하고 주차장 전경을 사각 지대 없이 카메라 영상에 담을 수 있는 정도의 개수로 중첩 설치(예컨대, 100개의 주차면 당 3~4개의 카메라로 중첩 설치)된 다중 카메라의 촬영 영상 정보를 기초로 주차장 내 차량의 위치를 실시간 추적하여 주차 관제를 효율적으로 수행할 수 있도록 함으로써, 주차 관제 시스템을 위해 설치되는 카메라의 수를 최소화 할 수 있는, 주차 관제를 위한 차량 추적 방법에 관한 것이다.
