모터 구동용 인버터의 직류 링크 커패시터 방전 시스템은, 충전에 의해 그 양단에 직류 링크 전압을 형성하는 직류 링크 커패시터; 상기 직류 링크 전압이 인가되는 입력단과, 복수의 스위칭 소자와, 상기 복수의 스위칭 소자의 단락/개방 제어에 의해 상기 직류 링크 전압을 변환하여 형성된 교류 전압을 출력하는 출력단을 갖는 인버터; 상기 인버터에서 출력되는 교류 전압을 이용하여 구동되는 모터; 상기 직류 링크 커패시터와 전류 루프를 형성할 수 있는 위치에 상호 직렬 연결된 방전저항과 스위치; 상기 직류 링크 커패시터의 강제 방전이 요구되는 경우, 상기 스위칭 소자의 단락/개방을 제어하여 상기 모터로 제공되는 교류 전압을 조정하여 상기 모터에 의해 상기 직류 링크 커패시터의 충전 전력을 소모시키는 제1 방전 제어부; 및 상기 직류 링크 커패시터의 강제 방전이 요구되고, 상기 인버터와 상기 모터가 전기적으로 개방된 경우 상기 스위치를 단락 시켜 상기 방전저항과 상기 직류 링크 커패시터 사이에 전류 루프를 형성하는 제2 방전 제어부를 포함한다.

    A DC link capacitor discharge system of an inverter for driving a motor includes: a DC link capacitor forming DC link voltage on both terminals thereof by charging; an inverter having an input terminal to which the DC link voltage is applied, a plurality of switching devices, and an output terminal which outputs AC voltage formed by converting the DC link voltage by short/open control of the plurality of switching devices; a motor which operates by using AC voltage outputted from the inverter; a discharge resistance and a switch connected together in series on a location where the DC link capacitor and a current loop can be formed; a first discharging control unit controlling short/open of the switching device to adjust AC voltage provided to the motor to consume charging power of the DC link capacitor with the motor when forced discharging on the DC link capacitor is required; and a second discharging control unit shortening the switch to form a current loop between the discharge resistance and the DC link capacitor when forced discharging on the DC link capacitor is required and the inverter and the motor are electrically open. According to the present invention, it is possible to quickly lower DC link voltage of a high voltage DC link capacitor so that a risk of exposure to high voltage by car accident can be significantly reduced.
