본 발명은 액화가스 화물창의 단열 시스템에 관한 것으로, 열팽창율이 낮은 인바 강(Invar, 36% Ni)의 1차 및 2차 멤브레인을 사용하고, 1차 단열층은 플라이우드(plywood), 단열재, 복합재 등으로 조합된 복합체 형태로 구성되어서 2차 단열층 두께 대비 20% 이내의 얇은 두께를 가지며, 2차 단열층은 유리섬유로 강화된 폴리우레탄폼과 플라이우드 또는 플라이우드 및 복합재료의 샌드위치 형태로 구성하되, 추가로 1차 멤브레인을 고정하기 위한 텅(tongue) 및 텅 고정 부재의 형상을 기존 "L자형"에서 "J자형"으로 변경함과 아울러 J자형의 텅과 텅 고정 부재를 결합하기 위한 수직부재와 수평부재의 결합구조 및 2차 멤브레인과 텅 고정 부재의 간섭을 피하기 위한 복수의 수평부재의 결합구조를 개선함으로써, 1차 멤브레인이 손상되어 1차 단열층의 기능이 상실될 경우에도 전체 단열시스템의 단열 성능을 그대로 유지하여 기화되는 LNG 화물의 양을 최소화할 수 있으며, 2차 단열층에 비해 얇게 형성되는 1차 단열층을 통해서 고정 구조(securing structure)의 단순화 및 최소화를 구현할 수 있다.

    The present invention relates to an insulation system of a liquefied gas storage tank. According to the present invention, primary and secondary membranes made of Invar steel (Ni 36%) with a low coefficient of thermal expansion, a primary insulation layer is formed with a composite type combining plywood, an insulation material, a composite material, and the like to have a thin thickness about 20% with respect to a thickness of a secondary insulation layer, and the secondary insulation layer is formed with a sandwich type of glass fiber reinforced polyurethane foam and plywood, or plywood and a composite material. In addition, a shape of a tongue for fixing the primary membrane and a tongue fixing member is changed into a J-shape from an existing L-shape, and a coupling structure between vertical and horizontal members for coupling the J-shape tongue and the tongue fixing member, and a coupling structure of a plurality of horizontal members to avoid interference between the secondary membrane and the tongue fixing member are improved. Thus, insulation performance of the entire insulation system is maintained without change even if a function of the primary insulation layer is lost due to damage of the primary membrane, thereby minimizing an amount of evaporated liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo; and simplification and minimization of a securing structure are able to be realized through the primary insulation layer formed by a thickness smaller than that of the secondary insulation layer.
