A system and method for multi-image-based vessel proximity situation recognition support is disclosed. The system may include an unmanned surface vehicle (USV) configured to detect and track surrounding objects by monitoring surroundings using surrounding images and navigation sensors, and a remote navigation controller configured to support proximity situation recognition of the unmanned surface vehicle according to detection of the surrounding objects. The USV may include an image acquisition unit that acquires multiple images around the USV to detect objects around the USV through image analysis, a navigation sensor unit that acquires the current operation information of the USV and obstacle information around the USV in real time, and a detection unit that monitors the surroundings of the USV using multiple images, current navigation information, and obstacle information, and tracks the detected object when an object close to the USV is detected within a preset distance as a result of the monitoring.

    다중영상 기반 선박 근접 주변 상황인식 지원 시스템 및 방법이 개시된다. 다중영상 기반 선박 근접 주변 상황인식 지원 시스템은, 주변 영상 및 항법센서를 이용하여 주변을 모니터링하여 주변 물체를 탐지 및 추적하는 무인수상정(USV: Unmanned Surface Vehicle) 및 주변 물체의 탐지에 따라 무인수상정의 주변상황 인식을 지원하는 원격운항관제 장치를 포함하되, 무인수상정은, 영상분석을 통한 무인수상정 주변의 물체를 감지하기 위하여, 무인수상정 주변의 다중영상을 획득하는 영상획득부, 무인수상정의 현재 운항 정보 및 무인수상정 주변의 장애물 정보를 실시간으로 획득하는 항법센서부 및 다중영상, 현재 운항 정보 및 장애물 정보를 이용하여 무인수상정 주변을 모니터링하고, 모니터링 결과 무인수상정 주변에 미리 설정된 거리 이내로 근접한 물체가 탐지되면, 탐지된 물체를 추적하는 탐지부를 포함한다.
