An objective of the present invention is to provide a driver evaluation method using the ADAS capable of evaluating a driver by calculating a driver's reckless driving index, and an apparatus therefor. The present invention relates to a driver evaluation method using an ADAS and an apparatus therefor. The driver evaluation method in a vehicle equipped with an advanced driver assistance system according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise the following steps of: collecting vehicle driving information including a moving distance and a moving time of the vehicle; extracting a physical characteristic value based on the vehicle driving information; receiving a notification from the advanced driver assistance system; calculating a personal characteristic notification index value by non-dimensionalizing the notification according to the physical characteristic value; and calculating a reckless driving index value based on the personal characteristic notification index value, a weight for each notification, and a characteristic correction coefficient.

    본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 첨단 운전자 보조 시스템이 구비된 차량에서의 운전자 평가 방법은 상기 차량의 이동 거리 및 이동 시간이 포함된 차량 주행 정보를 수집하는 단계와 상기 차량 주행 정보에 기반하여 물리적 특성 값을 추출하는 단계와 상기 첨단 운전자 보조 시스템으로부터 알림을 수신하는 단계와 상기 물리적 특성 값에 따라 상기 알림을 무차원화하여 개인 특성 알림 지표 값을 산출하는 단계와 상기 개인 특성 알림 지표 값, 상기 알림 별 가중치 및 상기 특성 보정 계수에 기반하여 난폭 운전 지표 값을 산출하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
