The present invention relates to a method for determining drowsiness tailored to an individual using a surface electromyography (sEMG) sensor that detects drowsiness according to individual muscle activity using the sEMG sensor and outputs microcurrent electrical stimulation when drowsy, which can contribute to improving fatigue and reducing traffic accident rate through muscle stimulation. To this end, according to the present invention, the method comprises the steps of: measuring an EMG signal according to muscle contraction or relaxation of a muscle through the sEMG sensor; removing at least one of electrical noise included in the EMG signal, ambient environmental electromagnetic noise, and dynamic noise by applying a noise removal filter; and calculating an average amplitude value for each user for the EMG signal up to the n^th time from which the noise is removed, and determining whether the user is drowsy by comparing the average amplitude value with the current amplitude value at the (n+1)^th time.
본 발명은 표면 근전도(sEMG) 센서를 이용하여 개인별 근육활성도에 따른 졸음을 검출하고, 졸음시 미세전류 전기자극을 출력하여 근육 자극을 통한 피로도 개선 및 교통 사고율 감소에 기여할 수 있는 표면 근전도 센서를 이용한 개인 맞춤형 졸음 판단 방법에 관한 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 발명은 표면 근전도 센서를 통해 근육의 근수축 또는 근이완에 따른 근전도 신호를 측정하는 단계, 잡음 제거 필터를 적용하여 근전도 신호에 포함된 전기적 잡음, 주변 환경 전자파 잡음 및 동적 잡음 중 적어도 하나의 잡음을 제거하는 단계 및 잡음이 제거된 제n 시간까지의 근전도 신호에 대한 사용자별 평균 진폭 값을 산출하고, 평균 진폭 값과 제n+1 시간에서의 현재 진폭 값을 비교하여 사용자의 졸음 여부를 판단하는 단계를 포함한다.
