Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for correcting the gradient of a vehicle equipped with a trailer. A method for correcting the gradient of a vehicle equipped with a trailer, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: detecting whether a trailer is mounted from the difference between an engine torque-based road gradient and a G-sensor-based road gradient; detecting, when the trailer mounting is detected, a vehicle speed at the time when the trailer mounting is detected and determining which vehicle speed range the detected vehicle speed belongs to among preset low-speed, medium-speed, and high-speed ranges; determining a gradient correction value corresponding to the difference between the vehicle speed and the gradient at the time when trailer mounting is detected using a gradient correction map using the difference between the vehicle speed and the gradient as a factor; and calibrating the G-sensor-based road gradient using the determined gradient correction value. The mounting of the trailer is determined using gradient information, and when the trailer is mounted, the vehicle is recognized as being in a situation of going on a slope with a gradient, and the road gradient is corrected so that an appropriate shift pattern is applied. Therefore, a spare driving force is secured, thereby increasing vehicle startability, and improving shift feel and drivability.

    트레일러 장착 차량의 구배도 보정 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 트레일러 장착 차량의 구배도 보정 방법은, 엔진 토크 기반 도로 구배도와 G 센서 기반 도로 구배도의 차이로부터 트레일러 장착 여부를 감지하는 단계, 트레일러 장착이 감지되면, 트레일러 장착이 감지된 시점의 차속을 검출하고, 검출된 차속이 기 설정된 저속, 중속, 고속 영역 중 어느 차속 영역에 속하는지 판단하는 단계, 차속과 구배도의 차이를 인자로 하는 구배 보정맵을 이용하여 트레일러 장착이 감지된 시점의 차속과 상기 구배도의 차이에 대응되는 구배 보정값을 결정하는 단계 및 결정된 구배 보정값을 사용하여 G 센서 기반 도로 구배도를 보정하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 요지로 하며, 구배도 정보를 활용하여 트레일러 장착 여부를 판단하고, 트레일러 장착 판단 시 차량이 구배가 있는 경사로 등판 상황으로 인식하여 적절한 변속패턴이 적용되도록 도로 구배도를 보정함으로써 여유 구동력을 확보하여 차량 발진성을 증대시키고 변속감 및 운전성을 향상시킬 수 있다.
