The present invention relates to an intersection signal operation method using signal time tuning, which can guide the flow of vehicles smoothly by effectively reducing the vehicle congestion time by optimally adjusting (redistributing) the signal period (cycle length) and an individual split in response to the calculated communication stage for each lane after calculating the communication stage for each lane. When extension or reduction of the cycle length is not required, by optimizing the period of each individual split in response to the saturation of each lane, the optimal signal operation is enabled in response to real-time traffic conditions in the intersection signal operation method using signal time tuning.

    본 발명은 각 차로별 소통단계를 산정한 후, 산정된 차로별 소통단계에 대응하여 신호주기(Cycle Length) 및 개별현시주기(Split)를 최적으로 조율(재분배)함으로써 차량 정체시간을 효과적으로 절감시켜 차량 흐름을 원활하게 유도할 수 있으며, 신호주기(Cycle Length)의 연장 또는 축소가 필요하지 않는 경우, 각 차로별 포화도에 대응하여 각 개별현시의 주기를 최적화시킴으로써 실시간 교통상황에 대응하여 최적의 신호운영이 가능하도록 하는 신호시간 조율을 이용한 교차로 신호 운영방법에 관한 것이다.
