ECU(960)는, PCU(920)를 제어함으로써, 조전지(10)의 용량을 회복시키는 용량 회복 제어를 실행한다. 용량 회복 제어는, 방전 모드와, 용량 회복 모드를 포함한다. 방전 모드에서는, ECU(960)는, 조전지(10)를 소정의 과방전 영역까지 방전시킨다. 용량 회복 모드에서는, ECU(960)는, 과방전 영역에 있어서, 방전 정지에 의한 리튬 이온 이차 전지의 전압 상승과, 방전 전류를 진동시키면서 리튬 이온 이차 전지를 방전시키는 펄스 방전을 반복하여 실행한다.

    An ECU (960) controls a PCU (920) to perform capacity recovery control of recovering a capacity of an assembled battery (10). The capacity recovery control includes a discharge mode and a capacity recovery mode. In the discharge mode, the ECU (960) discharges the assembled battery (10) to a predetermined overdischarge region. In the capacity recovery mode, the ECU (960) repeatedly performs, in the overdischarge region, a voltage increase of increasing a voltage across a lithium ion secondary battery due to a stop of the discharging and a pulse discharge of discharging the lithium ion secondary battery while oscillating a discharge current.
