The present invention relates to an engine start control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle and a method thereof. The engine start control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle includes: a one-way clutch interposed between an engine and a motor; a vehicle state input part receiving state information of a vehicle; an engine driving part driving the engine; a UD clutch driving part regulating the rotation force of an input shaft by controlling a UD clutch of a transmission; and a control part receiving the state information of the vehicle from the vehicle state input part to start the engine by controlling the engine driving part if the state information satisfies an engine start condition, while starting the engine after neutralizing the transmission by controlling the UD clutch driving part if the rpm of the input shaft is less than a set rpm. Therefore, the engine start control apparatus is capable of reducing the number of components, production costs and weight.
본 발명은 하이브리드 차량의 엔진 시동 제어장치 및 그 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 하이브리드 차량의 엔진 시동 제어장치는, 엔진과 모터 사이에 개재되는 일방향 클러치; 차량의 상태정보를 입력받는 차량상태 입력부; 엔진을 구동시키는 엔진 구동부; 변속기의 UD 클러치를 제어하여 입력축의 회전력을 단속하는 UD 클러치 구동부; 및 차량상태 입력부로부터 차량의 상태정보를 입력받아 엔진 시동조건을 만족한 경우, 엔진 구동부를 제어하여 엔진을 시동하되, 입력축 회전수가 설정 회전수 미만인 경우 UD 클러치 구동부를 제어하여 변속기를 중립화한 후 엔진을 시동하는 제어부;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
