An around view monitoring system and a camera tolerance correction method are disclosed. The around view monitoring system includes: a camera unit including a plurality of cameras mounted to photograph each of the front, the right, the left, and rear of a vehicle; a tolerance correction unit that determines whether there is a distortion according to a predetermined criterion in an individual top view image corresponding to the captured image photographed by each camera, and updates a conversion rule for converting the captured image into the individual top view image if the distortion exists; and an image synthesizer that generates an AVM image by using the updated conversion rule and a plurality of captured images captured by the camera unit.
