Disclosed is a hall lantern capable of directly supplying commercial power and minimizing power consumption. The hall lantern according to the present invention is a hall lantern which pairs with a call button for calling an elevator in an upward direction or a downward direction, is installed in each floor of a building, and flickers at a specific floor in accordance with arrival of the elevator to the specific floor when the elevator is called via the call button installed in the specific floor among the floors, comprising: a communication portion receiving current information including at least one of a current location, a current state, and a current proceeding direction from the elevator, and receiving a call signal from at least one of a plurality of call buttons installed in the specific floor and other floor; a switching portion switching connection between a commercial power terminal supplying the commercial power and a flickering light emitting portion; a communication power supply portion supplying communication power for driving the communication portion; and a control portion controlling the switching portion to supply the commercial power to the flickering light emitting portion if the elevator approaches the specific floor within a set distance.

    상용전원을 직접 공급하며 전력소비를 최소화할 수 있는 홀 랜턴이 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 홀 랜턴은, 상방향 또는 하방향으로 엘리베이터를 호출하는 호출버튼과 짝을 이루며, 건물의 각 층마다 설치되고, 각 층 중의 특정 층에 설치된 호출버튼을 통해 상기 엘리베이터가 호출된 경우에 엘리베이터가 특정 층에 도착하는지의 여부에 따라 특정 층에서 점멸하는 홀 랜턴(Hall Lantern)에 있어서, 엘리베이터로부터 현재의 위치, 상태 및 진행방향 중의 적어도 하나를 포함하는 현재정보를 수신하며, 특정 층 및 다른 층에 설치된 복수의 호출버튼 중의 적어도 하나로부터 호출신호를 수신하는 통신부; 상용전원을 공급하는 상용전원단자와 점멸용 발광부 사이의 접속 여부를 스위칭하는 스위칭부; 통신부의 구동을 위한 통신용 전원을 공급하는 통신전원 공급부; 및 엘리베이터가 특정 층과 설정된 거리 이내로 접근한 경우에 상용전원이 점멸용 발광부에 공급되도록 스위칭부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다.
