The present invention relates to an interior material for a railway vehicle using an eco-friendly flame-retardant plastic panel and a manufacturing method thereof to create excellent flame resistance and formability by mixing inorganic metal hydroxide, a basic material, and an incombustible silica material with a thermoplastic resin. According to the present invention, the flame-retardant plastic panel constituting the interior material for a railway vehicle comprises 12-15 wt% of a thermoplastic resin ground into a mesh size of 325-800, 76-80 wt% of inorganic metal hydroxide ground into a mesh size of 800-5,000, crystalline metal hydroxide created by allowing the inorganic metal hydroxide to react with 1-3 wt% of a liquid basic material in a prescribed temperature range, 1 wt% of a lubricant made of zinc stearate or ethylene bis stearamide (EBS), and the remainder consisting of an incombustible silica material in the form of a cotton yarn.

    본 발명은 열가소성 수지에 무기성 금속수산화물과, 염기성 재료, 불연성 규사질 재료를 혼합하여 우수한 난연성과 성형성을 갖도록 한 친환경적인 난연성 플라스틱 패널을 이용한 철도 차량용 내장재 및 그 제조 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 철도 차량용 내장재를 이루는 난연성 플라스틱 패널은, 325 ~ 800메쉬 크기로 분쇄된 열가소성 수지 12~15 중량%와, 800 ~ 5,000메쉬 크기로 분쇄된 무기성 금속수산화물 76~80 중량%와, 일정한 온도 범위 하에서 상기 무기성 금속수산화물이 1~3 중량%의 액상의 염기성 재료와 반응하여 생성된 결정성 금속수산화물과, 스테아린산 아연(Zinc Stearate) 또는 EBS(Ethylene Bis Stearamide)로 된 활제 1중량%와, 잔부의 면사 형태로 된 불연성 규사질 재료를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
