Disclosed is a propeller shaft for a ship and a manufacturing method of the same. The propeller shaft is seated on a bracket bushing of a support bracket, a tube bushing of a stern tube, and a packing to rotate by a driving force of an engine, and includes a chrome coating part formed on the outer circumferential surface thereof. The manufacturing method of a propeller shaft for a ship according to the present invention is to manufacture a propeller shaft for a ship, which rotates by a driving force of an engine by being seated on a bracket bushing of a support bracket, a tube bushing of a stern tube, and a packing, and comprises: a first step of machining a stainless round bar to manufacture a propeller shaft; a second step of grinding the surface of the propeller shaft; a third step of coating chrome at a point of the outer circumferential surface of the propeller shaft, on which the bracket bushing, the tube bushing and the packing are mounted, to form a chrome coating part; and a fourth step of grinding the surface of the chrome coating part.

    본 발명에 의한 선박용 프로펠러 샤프트는, 지지브라켓의 브라켓부싱과 스턴튜브의 튜브부싱 및 패킹에 안착되어, 엔진기관의 구동력에 의해 자전하는 선박용 프로펠러 샤프트에 있어서, 외주면에 크롬코팅부가 형성된다. 본 발명에 의한 선박용 프로펠러 샤프트 제조방법은, 지지브라켓의 브라켓부싱과 스턴튜브의 튜브부싱 및 패킹에 안착되어 엔진기관의 구동력에 의해 자전하는 선박용 프로펠러 샤프트를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 스테인리스 환봉을 가공하여 프로펠러 샤프트를 제작하는 제1 단계; 상기 프로펠러 샤프트의 표면을 연마하는 제2 단계; 상기 프로펠러 샤프트의 외주면 중 상기 브라켓부싱과 상기 튜브부싱과 상기 패킹이 장착되는 지점에 크롬을 코팅하여 크롬코팅부를 형성하는 제3 단계; 상기 크롬코팅부의 표면을 연마하는 제4 단계;를 포함한다.
