The present invention relates to a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) device and an unmanned aerial vehicle having the same. The LIDAR device can improve the accuracy of detection of gas distribution by sufficiently receiving LIDAR signals backscattered from noxious gas particles in a gas leakage area, and can be easily applied to a small unmanned aerial vehicle such as a drone helicopter. The LIDAR device includes: a laser transmitter emitting short-wavelength infrared laser light into the air; a LIDAR receiver disposed on one side of the laser transmitter to receive LIDAR signals backscattered from particles in the air, with a central axis of the LIDAR receiver being at a predetermined angle to the laser light emitted by the laser transmitter; and a data processor detecting atmospheric gas distribution based on the LIDAR signals received by the LIDAR receiver.

    본 발명은 누출 지역의 유해가스 입자로부터 후방 산란된 라이다 신호를 충분히 수신하여 가스 분포 측정의 정확도를 향상시킬 수 있고, 드론(drone) 헬리콥터와 같은 소형의 무인 비행체에 적용하기가 용이한 가스분포 측정용 레이저 산란장치 및 이를 갖는 무인비행체에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 가스분포 측정용 레이저 산란장치는, 50㎚ ~ 1400㎚ 파장대의 적외선 단파장으로 된 레이저를 외부의 대기 중으로 방출하는 레이저 방출부; 상기 레이저 방출부의 일측에 설치되어 대기 중의 입자로부터 후방 산란된 라이다(LIDAR) 신호를 수신하며, 중심의 축이 상기 레이저 방출부에서 방출되는 레이저와 일정한 각도를 이루도록 설치되는 라이다 수신부; 및, 상기 라이다 수신부에 수신된 라이다 신호에 의해 대기 중의 가스 분포를 측정하는 데이터 처리부;를 포함할 수 있다.
