The present invention relates to a system and a method for changing a driving mode from an electric vehicle (EV) mode to a hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) mode of a hybrid vehicle. According to the present invention, the system and the method for changing a driving mode of a hybrid vehicle can prevent a temporary output shortage phenomenon when a hybrid vehicle converts from an EV mode to an HEV mode by estimating a delay time of engine output and a rate of rise of a drive demand power (or torque), setting an offset value which is a difference between a battery discharge limit and an engine maneuver critical power of an engine, determining an adequate engine maneuver critical power under the current driving condition by using the set offset value, thereby maximizing an EV mode driving area and improving fuel efficiency.

    본 발명은 하이브리드 차량의 EV 모드에서 HEV 모드로의 주행모드 전환 제어 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것이다.즉, 본 발명은 엔진출력 지연시간 및 구동 요구파워(또는 토크) 상승율을 추정하여 배터리 방전 제한치와 엔진 기동 임계파워 간의 차이인 옵셋값을 설정하고, 설정된 옵셋값을 통하여 현재 주행조건에 적합한 엔진기동 임계파워가 결정되도록 함으로써, EV 모드에서 HEV 모드로의 전환시 일시적인 출력부족 현상을 방지할 수 있고, EV 모드 운전 영역을 최대화하여 연비 향상을 도모할 수 있도록 한 하이브리드 차량의 주행모드 전환 제어 시스템 및 방법을 제공하고자 한 것이다.
