Embodiments of the present invention relate to an electric vehicle charging system and an electric vehicle charging method which can efficiently and conveniently charge electricity. The electric vehicle charging system comprises: an electric vehicle including a voltage control module for controlling a signal level of a control signal on a control signal line, and a battery for charging electricity; and a charging apparatus including a pulse width modulation (PWM) module for performing PWM oscillation for controlling a duty of the control signal on the control signal line, and an electricity supply module for supplying electricity.
