The present invention relates to an emergency braking system for a vehicle and, more specifically, relates to an emergency braking system for a vehicle, which comprises: a retarder connected to a drive shaft of a vehicle to generate deceleration torque; a retarder controller controlling operation of the retarder; and an emergency braking switch installed in the vehicle, connected to the retarder controller, and enabling the retarder to be operated by operation of a driver. Therefore, the emergency braking system for a vehicle can be applied as a safety device in case of emergency such as a brake defect while the vehicle is driven.

    본 발명은 차량용 비상 제동 장치에 관한 것으로서, 차량의 구동축에 연결되어 감속 토크를 발생시키는 리타더; 상기 리타더의 작동을 제어하는 리타더 제어기; 및 차량의 실내에 설치되며 상기 리타더 제어기에 연결되어, 운전자의 조작에 의해 상기 리타더가 작동되도록 하는 비상 제동 스위치; 를 포함하여 이루어져, 차량의 주행 중 브레이크 결함 등과 같은 비상시에 안전장치로 적용할 수 있는 차량용 비상 제동 장치에 관한 것이다.
