The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling the HSG torque in a hybrid vehicle. Regeneration is applied through a freewheeling diode of an inverter insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) when back electromotive force based on a hybrid starter generator (HSG) is higher than the battery voltage, instead of zero torque control, in a predetermined RPM area, at the time of stopping an HSG operation, and a motor is driven through pulse width modulation (PWM) regeneration control of the IGBT when the back electromotive force based on the HSG is equal to or lower than the battery voltage. Accordingly, although there is a mechanical loss of an engine, an overall loss is reduced to secure relatively high efficiency, thereby improving fuel efficiency.

    본 발명은 HSG(Hybrid Starter Generator) 동작 중지 시, 일정 RPM 영역에서, 영토크 제어 대신에, HSG에 의한 역기전력이 배터리 전압보다 높으면 인버터 IGBT(Insulated-gate Bipolar Transistor)의 환류(Freewheeling) 다이오드를 통해서 회생을 적용하고, HSG에 의한 역기전력이 배터리 전압 이하이면 IGBT의 PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) 회생 제어를 통해, 구동모터를 구동함으로써, 엔진의 기계적 손실은 있으나 전체적인 손실을 줄여 상대적으로 높은 효율을 확보하여 연비를 개선할 수 있는, 하이브리드 차량의 HSG 토크 제어 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다.
