본 발명은, 알칼리 금속 화합물 및/또는 알칼리토류 금속 화합물을 중합 개시제로서 이용하여, 공액 디엔 화합물 및 질소 원자 함유 비닐 화합물, 또는 공액 디엔 화합물, 방향족 비닐 화합물 및 질소 원자 함유 비닐 화합물을 공중합시켜, 중합체쇄 중에 질소 원자를 포함하며, 활성 말단을 갖는, 공액 디엔계 중합체를 얻는 중합 공정과, 상기 공액 디엔계 중합체의 활성 말단에, 하기 화학식 (1)로 표시되는 화합물인 변성제를 반응시키는 변성 공정을 갖는, 변성 공액 디엔계 중합체의 제조 방법에 관한 것이다.(식 (1) 중, R내지 R는, 각각 독립적으로, 탄소수 1 내지 20의 알킬기 또는 탄소수 6 내지 20의 아릴기를 나타내고, R는 탄소수 3 내지 10의 알킬렌기를 나타내고, R은 탄소수 1 내지 20의 알킬렌기를 나타내고, m은 1 또는 2의 정수이고, n은 2 또는 3의 정수임)

    A method for producing a modified conjugated diene polymer comprising a polymerization step of obtaining a conjugated diene polymer containing a nitrogen atom in a polymer chain and an active end by copolymerizing a conjugated diene compound and a nitrogen atom-containing vinyl compound, or a conjugated diene compound, an aromatic vinyl compound and a nitrogen atom-containing vinyl compound by use of an alkali metal compound and/or an alkaline earth metal compound as a polymerization initiator, and a modification step of reacting a modifier, which is a compound represented by the following formula (1), with the active end of the conjugated diene polymer: where R 1 to R 4 each independently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms or an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms; R 5 represents an alkylene group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms; R 6 represents an alkylene group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; m is an integer of 1 or 2; and n is an integer of 2 or 3.
