The present invention relates to a technique for steering torque compensation. More specifically, the invention provides an apparatus and a method for steering torque compensation, wherein the apparatus comprises: a lane recognition unit which recognizes a road lane using a camera of a vehicle; a distance measuring unit which measures the distance between the vehicle and the road lane; and a motion determination unit calculating a distance change rate which is an hourly rate of change of distance difference and determining forward or reverse motion of the vehicle using the distance change rate.

    본 발명은 조향 토크 보정하는 기술에 관한 것이다. 더욱 상세하게는 본 발명은 차량의 카메라를 이용하여 도로차선을 인식하는 차선 인식부와 차량과 도로차선과의 거리차이를 측정하는 거리 측정부 및 거리차이의 시간당 변화율인 거리변화율을 계산하고 거리변화율을 이용하여 차량의 전진 또는 후진 동작을 판단하는 동작 판단부를 포함하는 조향 토크 보정 장치 및 방법을 제공한다.
