본 발명은 LNG 운반선 내의 LNG를 저장하는 화물창 내에서의 LNG 자연 기화율(BOR, boil off rate)을 계산하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따르면, 화물창 내의 LNG BOR을 계산하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 화물창의 횡단면과 상기 횡단면의 주변부를 유한 요소법을 이용하여 모델링하여 상기 횡단면에 대한 유입 열량을 계산하는 단계; 상기 화물창의 종단면과 상기 종단면의 주변부를 유한 요소법을 이용하여 모델링하여 상기 종단면에 대한 유입 열량을 계산하는 단계; 상기 횡단면에 대한 유입 열량 및 상기 종단면에 대한 유입 열량을 이용하여 상기 화물창에 유입된 총 유입 열량을 계산하는 단계; 및 상기 총 유입 열량을 이용하여 BOR을 계산하는 단계를 포함하는, 화물창 내의 LNG BOR 계산 방법이 제공된다.

    The present invention relates to a method to calculate an LNG boil off rate (BOR) in a cargo system to which the LNG is stored in an LNG carrier. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method to calculate the LNG BOR in a cargo system comprises: a step of calculating an inflow quantity of heat against a horizontal cross section of the cargo system by modeling the horizontal cross section and the perimeters of the horizontal cross section of the cargo system with a finite element method; a step of calculating the inflow quantity of heat against a vertical cross section of the cargo system by modeling the vertical cross section and the perimeters of the vertical cross section of the cargo system with the finite element method; a step to calculate the total inflow quantity of heat using the inflow quantity of heat for the horizontal and vertical cross sections; and a step to calculate the BOR using the total inflow quantity of heat.
