The present invention relates to a license plate recognition system using reflection and a method thereof. Particularly, the present invention relates to a license plate recognition system using reflection to provide convenience for a manager by increasing the recognition rate of the license plate of a car entering or leaving a parking lot and a method thereof. The license plate recognition system includes a reflection part which is prepared in the entrance or exit of the parking lot or reflects the license number of the car entering or leaving the parking lot with at least two reflection angles, an image photographing part which photographs the license number of the car reflected by the reflection part, and a license number recognition part which recognizes a license number by using a license number recognition algorithm for each image of the license number photographed by the image photographing part.
