A hoist according to the present invention comprises a motor unit (100), a reducer unit (200), and a power control unit (300). Power supplied from the power control unit (300) operates the motor unit (100). The motor unit (100) is connected to the reducer unit (200) to be operated. The reducer unit (200) raises or lowers a chain in which a weight is hung. The power control unit (300) includes an inverter (301) supplying power to the motor (100), and a regenerative brake resistor (305) converting the power generated in a generation mode of the motor unit (100) into heat energy. The inverter (301) and the regenerative brake resistor (305) are stored in an inverter casing (310) and the regenerative brake resistor casing (320), respectively. The inverter casing (310) and the regenerative brake resistor casing (320) are fixed to different outer side surfaces of the casing of the reducing unit (200) into which lubricating oil is charged. When fixed to the outer side surfaces of the casing of the reducer unit (200), the inverter casing (310) and the regenerative brake resistor casing (320) are not directly attached and have a space formed therebetween.
