To provide a thin and lightweight round knitted fabric for a heater, which has sufficient elasticity and high heat generation efficiency, can follow the deformation when used for seats, etc.SOLUTION: A round knitted fabric 10 for a heater is formed by knitting conductive fibers 11 and non-conductive fibers 12, and the conductive fibers 11 has an electric resistance value generated efficiently in the range of 102 Ω/m to 107 Ω/m when energized. As a result, a high energization heat generation efficiency can be obtained, and the round knitted fabric for the heater has excellent elasticity peculiar to the knitted fabric. Further, since the conductive fiber 11 is provided with a welt portion 14 in which the conductive fiber 11 is linear between tack stitch portions 13, the length of the bent portion of the conductive fiber 11 is shortened, and while maintaining elasticity, the overall electrical resistance can be reduced.
