To realize simplification of a structure, easy adjustment or the like for jackknife phenomenon reduction by contacting an outer surface of a towing vehicle or a towed vehicle to suppress swaying of the towed vehicle to the towing vehicle.SOLUTION: In a trailer vehicle T obtained by swingably connecting a towed vehicle H to a towing vehicle K, a trailer swinging suppressing device 1 capable of suppressing swinging of the towed vehicle H to the towing vehicle K includes a towing contact portion 2 that contacts a location near a left/right end on an upper outer surface of a rear portion of the towing vehicle K, and a towed contact portion 3 that contacts a location near a left/right end from a lower outer surface to a front outer surface of a front portion of the towed vehicle H. Also, the retrofittable trailer swinging suppression device 1 may be supported between the towing vehicle K and the towed vehicle H while not fixed to any of the vehicles, include a state switching unit 4 configured to switch a state between a suppressed state J1 where the swinging state is suppressed and a released state J2 where the suppressed state is released, or include an adjustment unit 5 configured to adjust a relative position between the towing contact portion 2 and the towed contact portion 3.
