To provide a torque sensor capable of reducing run-out noise without increasing the number of components.SOLUTION: When the number of total magnetic poles is defined as p (p is an even number), (p/2)-number of N poles 25 and (p/2)-number of S poles 26 are alternately arranged in a circumferential direction in a multipolar magnet 20. Respective yokes of a set of yokes 341, 342 include: ring parts 31, 32 through which the multipolar magnet 20 is inserted; and (p/2)-number of pawls 41, 42 extending in an axial direction from the ring parts 31, 32 to the other one of the yokes. An angle to be calculated by (360[deg]/p) being an average value of center angles formed by boundary lines at both ends of the respective magnetic poles 25, 26 constituting the multipolar magnet 20 in the circumferential direction is defined as an "average magnetic pole angle θp" on a plane vertical to a center axis O of the multipolar magnet 20. Besides, a center angle formed by both ends of the respective pawls 41, 42 in the circumferential direction is defined as a "pawl width center angle θc". The maximum value θc_max of a pawl width center angle of the yoke in an axial direction is set to be larger than the average magnetic pole angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
