To provide a roadside device that can prevent an increase in communication amount.SOLUTION: A roadside device includes: a sensor data input unit for receiving sensor data from a sensor that repeatedly attempts to detect an object marker in a detection area; an object marker information management unit for managing object marker information which is a detection result by the sensor; a communication unit for transmitting the object marker information to a transmission destination; and a transmission method switching unit that switches a transmission method for transmitting the object marker information by the communication unit to a first transmission method or a second transmission method different from the first transmission method according to the detection result by the sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
