To achieve life elongation of a battery in an electric vehicle which can change a degree of operator intervention concerning vehicle travel.SOLUTION: In an electric vehicle which travels by using a battery where electric goes in and out, it is determined that an operation mode of the vehicle is either a first operation mode in which a degree of operator intervention in vehicle operation is low or a second operation mode in which a degree of operator intervention is higher than the first operation mode. When it is determined that the operation mode is the first operation mode, an upper limit of a quantity of electricity going in and out the battery per unit time is set to a first upper limit amount lower than a second upper limit that is set in the second operation mode. Furthermore, a quantity of electricity going in and out the battery is controlled in a range that does not exceed the first upper limit amount or the second upper limit amount set according to the operation mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両の走行に関する運転者の関与の度合いが変更できる電動車両において、バッテリの長寿命化を図る。【解決手段】電力が出入りするバッテリを用いて走行する電動車両において、車両の運転モードが、車両の走行に対する運転者の関与の度合いが低い第1運転モードと、運転者の関与の度合いが第1運転モードより高い第2運転モードとのいずれであるかを判定する。運転モードが第1運転モードであると判定されたとき、バッテリに出入りする単位時間当たりの電気量の上限を、第2運転モードにおいて設定される上限である第2上限量より低い第1上限量に設定する。その上で、バッテリに出入りする電気量を、運転モードにしたがって設定された第1上限量または第2上限量を越えない範囲で制御する。【選択図】図1
