To provide a seat occupancy detection device that is able to stably detect the presence or absence of a seated person in the seat occupancy detection device disposed on a back surface side of a cushion pad.SOLUTION: A seat occupancy detection device 10 has: a bracket 11 that is attached to an S spring structure 25 supporting a cushion pad 3 from below; and a push button portion 16 of a push button type sensor 12 that is supported by the bracket 11. The bracket 11 includes: a flange portion 13c and a rear flange portion 14c that abut on and support a lower surface of the cushion pad 3; and a recessed surface portion 13c that is recessed downward inside the flange portion 13c and the rear flange portion 14c. The push button portion 16 is disposed at a laterally middle part of an upper surface portion of the recessed surface portion 13a and detects the presence of a seated person when an upper surface thereof is brought into contact with a back surface of the cushion pad 3 and is pressed downward. Dimensions of the recessed surface portion 13a in a lateral direction and a longitudinal direction are set to be larger than a diameter of the push button portion 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】クッションパッドの裏面側に配設するシート着座検知装置において安定して着座者の有無検知が可能なシート着座検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】シート着座検知装置10は、クッションパッド3を下側から支持するSばね構造体25に取付けられるブラケット11と、ブラケット11によって支持される押釦式センサ12の押釦部16と、を有する。ブラケット11は、クッションパッド3の下面に当接して支持するフランジ部13c及び後フランジ部14cと、フランジ部13c及び後フランジ部14cの内側で下方に向かって凹む凹面部13aと、を有する。押釦部16は凹面部13aの上面部における左右方向中央部に配設され、上面がクッションパッド3の裏面に当接して下方向に押圧されることによって着座者の存在を検知するものである。凹面部13aは左右方向の寸法及び前後方向の寸法とも押釦部16の直径より大きく設定されている。【選択図】図3
