To avoid the occurrence of a dead angle caused by a delay in the rotation around an azimuth axis.SOLUTION: An orientation tracking device according to the present disclosure includes: an arm-type support structure which is connected rotatably around an azimuth axis to a base structure; a barrel which has an aperture being a transmitting/receiving port for laser beams and is held by the arm-type support structure rotatably around an elevation axis with respect to the arm-type support structure; a prism which has an optical axis inclined relative to the central axis of the aperture and is attached to the barrel rotatably around the central axis of the aperture; and a control processing device which controls the rotation angles of the arm-type support structure, the barrel, and the prism so that the laser beam passing through the prism tracks the trajectory of a target object in the sky.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
