To suppress influence on an object to be towed of inertia force and centrifugal force generated as the object is conveyed by a towing apparatus.SOLUTION: A connection member, which connects a towing apparatus to an object to be towed which is towed by the towing apparatus, comprises: a strut member that is mounted on the towing apparatus; a lengthy member, whose one side is connected to the object to be towed and whose other side is provided with a long hole extending along an advancing direction of the object to be towed, in which the strut member is inserted into the long hole and the strut member can relatively move along the advancing direction inside the long hole; and an impact absorbing member, formed in at least either of the strut member and the lengthy member, which when the strut member moves relatively with respect to the lengthy member, changes in a state to absorb impact which the lengthy member receives from the strut member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
