To provide a wheel mechanism that is able to reduce an impact transmitted during traveling and smoothly turn by changing the traveling direction.SOLUTION: A wheel mechanism 1 of the present invention includes: a shaft portion 2; a frame portion 3; and a first wheel portion 4 and a second wheel portion 5 arranged side by side along a longitudinal direction X of the frame portion 3. The frame portion 3 is connected to one end 21 of the shaft portion 2 so as to be turnable around a first shaft A1 extending along a lateral direction Y of the frame portion 3. The first wheel portion 4 has a first traveling wheel 41 and a connecting member 42. The connecting member 42 is connected to the frame portion 3 at one end 421 so as to be turnable around a second shaft A2 extending along a vertical direction Z of the frame portion 3. The first shaft A1 is positioned between the first wheel portion 4 and the second wheel portion 5 in the longitudinal direction X. When the vehicle travels on a recessed portion So and a projecting portion Sp existing on a traveling surface G, the frame portion 3 is rotated with respect to the shaft portion 2 according to these shapes, thereby reducing displacement of the shaft portion 2 in the vertical direction Z.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
