To provide an in-tank type canister inspection device and an in-tank type canister inspection method capable of efficiently inspecting an in-tank type canister.SOLUTION: A piping portion connected to one of an atmospheric port and a purge port of an in-tank type canister disposed in a fuel tank of a vehicle at one end side is provided with a whistle portion at the other end side through a first port connection portion and an opening/closing valve portion for blocking or opening ventilation air. The air is sent to the in-tank type canister from the other side of the atmospheric port or the purge port in a state of opening the opening/closing valve portion to perform the inspection of the piping portion of the in-tank type canister, and the air is sent to or sucked from the in-tank type canister in state of shielding the opening/closing valve portion to perform the inspection of a check valve of the in-tank type canister.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
