To provide a method for manufacturing a vehicle trim material which can be attached to a portion where a thickness of a flange is large in a vehicle opening.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of the invention includes: an extrusion molding step in which an elongated preforming body (3P) which is a precursor mold item of an elongated trim material 3 is extruded; and a bending molding step. In the extrusion molding step, a lip short part 15A which is a holding lip 15 whose protruding length is shorter than a normal protruding length is extruded in at least a part (a section A) in one section D along a longitudinal direction of the preforming body. In the bending molding step, an angle formed between a top wall part and a side wall part in each portion of the preforming body is adjusted to a final angle (θ) formed between the top wall part 13 and the side wall part 11 in each portion of the trim material. At that time, in the one section D, the bending molding is performed so that a final angle θ2 formed between the top wall part 13 and the side wall part 11 is larger than final angles θ1 in other sections E, F located adjacent to the section D.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】車両開口部におけるフランジの厚さが大きい部位に対しても取り付け可能な車両用トリム材を製造する方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の製造方法は、長尺なトリム材3の前駆成形品である長尺な予備成形体(3P)を押出成形する押出成形工程と、曲げ成形工程とを備える。押出成形工程では、予備成形体の長手方向に沿った一部の区間D中の少なくとも一部分(区間A)において、突出長が通常よりも短い保持リップ15であるリップ短部15Aが押出成形される。曲げ成形工程では、予備形成体の各部位での頂壁部と側壁部とがなす角度を、トリム材の各部位での頂壁部13と側壁部11とがなす最終角度(θ)に調整する。その際、前記一部の区間Dでは、頂壁部13と側壁部11とがなす最終角度θ2が、当該区間Dに隣接する他の区間E,Fにおける最終角度θ1よりも大きくなるように曲げ成形する。【選択図】図2
