To provide a method for manufacturing a retreaded tire 2, which enables information management using an RFID tag 32 by attaching an RFID tag 32 to a tire 102 that does not have an RFID tag 32 built in, while taking into consideration the formation of a good communication environment and the reduction of the risk of damage caused by the RFID tag 32.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a retreaded tire 2 according to the invention includes the steps of: cutting a tread 104 from a tire 102; attaching a tag member 30 to a molding surface BD formed by cutting the tread 104; and rebuilding a new tread 4. The molding surface BD is located radially outward of the maximum width position of the tire 2. The tag member 30 is located radially inward of an end of a belt 14.
