To provide a vehicle surplus power consumption system that can suppress overcharging of a battery.SOLUTION: A vehicle surplus power consumption system of the present invention includes: an engine; a block heater configured to be energized to heat the engine; a radiator configured to release heat of a coolant circulating in the engine to cool the engine, to the outside air; a rotating electric machine configured to output power for travel; a battery configured to exchange power with the rotating electric machine; and power supply means configured to supply power to the battery. The vehicle surplus power consumption system consumes surplus power that cannot be supplied from the power supply means to the battery by supplying the surplus power to the block heater and executes control of releasing the heat of the coolant from the radiator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
