To provide a technique that enables a heat generation device to be stably mounted on a mating member with a small number of components.SOLUTION: A variable vent mechanism is provided with: an airbag having a vent hole 21 in an opening shape on a bag wall surface; a flap 4 mounted on the airbag to cover the vent hole 21, at a first fixed part 41; a strap 5 that is extended from a connection end part 43 of the flap 4 to be positionally fixed to a closing position where the vent hole 21 is closed, at a second fixed part 52; and a closing release device that releases the strap 5 and changes a position of the flap 4 from the closing position. A relation between a maximum length L3 between the first fixed part 41 and the connection end part 43 in a first direction in which the first fixed part 41 is joined to the second fixed part 52 and a maximum length L4 of the first fixed part 41 in a second direction which is orthogonal to the first direction satisfy a relational expression of 0.5≤L3/L4≤3.0, where the length in the second direction is shorter at the connection end part 43 than at the first fixed part 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
