To provide a display device capable of improving quality of an image projected onto a display medium.SOLUTION: A light guide 30 provided herein comprises a hologram element 40 configured to receive image light emitted by an image light emission unit 50, and a light guide unit 31 containing the hologram element 40. In an intensity distribution of the image light diffracted and output by the hologram element 40, end portions of the intensity distribution have smaller intensity than a middle portion of the intensity distribution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
