To provide a vehicular power supply system and a control method of the vehicular power supply system that hardly cause a situation where an output torque in a motor exceeds supply power.SOLUTION: A vehicular power supply system includes a power source control device and a steering control device. A power source control part 88 includes processing for switching a connection state to a backup state in accompany with detection of power dropping. The power source control part 88 includes processing for notifying a limit control part 103 of switching to the backup state, before switching to the backup state, following detection of power dropping in a normal state. The limit control part 103 sets an output limit state in accompany with the notification from the power source control part 88 about the switching of a power supply state to the backup state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9

    【課題】モータでの出力トルクが供給電力を超える状況に陥り難くすることができる車両用電源システム及び車両用電源システムの制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】車両用電源システムは、電源制御装置と、操舵制御装置とを含む。電源制御部88は、電力低下中の検出に伴って、バックアップ状態となるように接続状態を切り替える処理を含む。電源制御部88は、正常状態における電力低下中を検出した後、給電状態をバックアップ状態へ切り替えるのに先立って、当該バックアップ状態へ切り替える旨を制限制御部103に対して通知する処理を含む。制限制御部103は、電源制御部88から給電状態をバックアップ状態へ切り替える旨が通知されることに伴って、出力制限状態を設定するように構成されている。【選択図】図9
