To provide a steel cord for a tire, achieving both a diameter-growth suppression effect and breakage resistance in a pneumatic tire; and to provide a pneumatic tire achieving both diameter-growth suppression and durability.SOLUTION: A steel cord for a tire according to the present invention comprises a plurality of filaments. In all of the filaments, a ratio B/A of a filament diameter B to a cord diameter A is 0.13 or less. An inflection point of a dissection cord composed of the steel cord is within a range of a strain of 0.3-0.7% and a load of 100-350 N. An elastic modulus E1, in a high-strain region, of the dissection cord is 30-80 GPa. A pneumatic tire according to the present invention comprises at least one circumferential belt layer composed of a rubber-coated layer of the steel cord for the tire. The steel cord for the tire extends in a tire circumferential direction or extends while being inclined at an inclination angle of 5° or less with respect to the tire circumferential direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】本発明は、空気入りタイヤの径成長抑制効果と耐切れ性とを両立させた、タイヤ用スチールコード、及び、径成長の抑制と耐久性とを両立させた、空気入りタイヤを提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】本発明のタイヤ用スチールコードは、複数本のフィラメントを有し、全ての前記フィラメントについて、コード径Aに対するフィラメント径Bの比B/Aが0.13以下であり、前記スチールコードからなる解剖コードの変曲点は、歪0.3~0.7%、且つ、荷重100~350Nの範囲内にあり、前記解剖コードの高歪領域における弾性率E1は、30~80GPaである。本発明の空気入りタイヤは、前記タイヤ用スチールコードのゴム引き層からなる1層以上の周方向ベルト層を備え、前記タイヤ用スチールコードは、タイヤ周方向に延び、又は、タイヤ周方向に対して5°以下の傾斜角度で傾斜して延びる。【選択図】図1
