To provide a battery replacement apparatus which can surely mount a battery on an electric vehicle.SOLUTION: A battery replacement apparatus 100 includes: a detection device 20 for detecting the position and the direction of a battery 201 (first battery); a battery mounting base 34 where a battery 101 (second battery) is mounted, and which can be moved upward; and an adjustment part 37 for adjusting the position and the direction of the battery 101 mounted on the battery mounting base 34. The battery mounting base 34 is configured to mount the battery 101 on a vehicle body 200a from the lower side of the vehicle body 200a by moving upward from the lower side of the vehicle body 200a in a state where the battery 101 is mounted. The adjustment part 37 adjusts the position and the direction of the battery 101 mounted on the battery mounting base 34, on the basis of the position and the direction of the battery 201 detected by the detection device 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
