To provide a technique for optimizing the use of electric energy from a holistic perspective including use objects such as a power system and an electric vehicle when the electric vehicle is used.SOLUTION: A charging suggestion system is a system that makes suggestions regarding charging an electric vehicle when the electric vehicle is charged from a power system whose power supply state fluctuates. In the charging suggestion system, a power supply determination unit 21 determines that the power supply state of the power system is in a surplus time period, which indicates a time period when there is a certain amount of surplus power or more. A charging prediction unit 23 predicts a required charging time, which indicates a time when a state of a battery of the electric vehicle meets a condition that requires a certain amount of charging. A charging suggestion unit 25 makes suggestions on the state in which the battery power is consumed and/or suggestions on adjustments to the timing of charging the battery such that the battery can be charged in the surplus time period on the basis of the required charging time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
