To provide a charging inlet provided with an inlet housing and a design cover, which is configured to enhance safety of the design cover with respect to the inlet housing, without deteriorating assembling workability.SOLUTION: A charging inlet is provided with: an inlet housing which has a connection mechanism to a mating connector and a connection mechanism wall surface formed around the connection mechanism; and a design cover that has a design surface on which a hole through which the connection mechanism is exposed is formed and a cover inner wall surface opposing to the connection mechanism wall surface and is mounted on the inlet housing with the design surface covering a region outside a circumference of the connection mechanism, where a plurality of smashing ribs contacting the connection mechanism wall surface is formed on the cover inner wall surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
