To provide a caterpillar propulsion type high speed vessel which allows a user to get on and off safely, is hard to be damaged by making a caterpillar hardly affected by waves, and can be navigated at a high speed.SOLUTION: A caterpillar propulsion type high speed vessel is configured so as to provide a caterpillar which projects the prescribed number of paddles at prescribed intervals on a caterpillar tunnel provided on a central rear part of a monohull ship in plan view or on a rear part between a main hull and a sub hull of a three-hull ship at by being engaged with a drive sprocket which is coupled with a drive source of an engine or a motor and rotates. The caterpillar provides a longitudinal direction to a direction connecting a stem and a stern of the monohull ship or the three-hull ship in parallel. The caterpillar propulsion type high speed vessel is configured so that a vertical direction locates at substantially the same height as a bottom of the monohull ship or the three-hull ship so that the paddle which is projected on a lower side of the caterpillar paddles in the neighborhood of a draft line of draft. 【課題】安全に乗り降りができ、キャタピラが波の影響を受けにくくして破損しにくく、高速航行が可能なキャタピラ推進式高速船を提供することを課題とする。【解決手段】平面視で単胴船の中央後部に設けたキャタピラトンネルに、又は、三胴船の主船体と副船体の間の後部に、エンジン又はモータの駆動源に連結し回転する駆動スプロケットに係合させて、所定の間隔で所定の数の水かきを突設したキャタピラを設け、キャタピラは、長手方向を単胴船又は三胴船の船首と船尾を結ぶ方向に平行に設け、上下方向は前記キャタピラ下側に突設させた水かきが喫水の喫水線近傍を掻くように、単胴船又は三胴船の船底と略同じ高さに位置するようにしたキャタピラ推進式高速船により課題解決できた。【選択図】 図2
