To propose a fast charging system and method for producing electrically conductive connection between a vehicle and a charging station, which enable low-cost operation of transport means and safe contacting.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a fast charging system and a method for an electric bus or the like. In the fast charging system, charging contact elements each form a strip-type charging contact surface, where the contact elements each form a contact surface which is designed to be smaller than the charging contact surface, and the contact elements are each brought into electrical contact at a contact position with a charging contact element to form a contact pairing. In the system and the method, the charging contact surface and the contact surface are arranged in relation to each other in a longitudinal direction in such a way that respective touch contacts of the charging contact surface and the contact surface at respective longitudinal ends of the charging contact surface can be formed in defined order.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
