To provide an inspection method of a wind power generation system at a remote distance such as on the ocean by an unmanned aerial vehicle autonomically flying, and a configuration of the unmanned aerial vehicle used in this inspection method.SOLUTION: A controller provided on an unmanned aerial vehicle obtains a direction of a rotational axis of blades of a wind turbine at a first time point. The controller makes a camera mounted on the unmanned aerial vehicle shoot the blades of the wind mill while moving the unmanned aerial vehicle along a circumference of at least one front side circle which has a center axis in the same direction as the rotational axis of the blades of the wind mill at the first time point and on the same side as the blades with respect to a tower of the wind mill. The controller makes the camera mounted on the unmanned aerial vehicle shoot the blades of the wind mill along a circumference of at least one back side circle which has a center axis in the same direction as the rotational axis of the blades of the wind mill at the first time point and on the opposite side as the blades with respect to a tower of the wind mill.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
