To appropriately control inhibition and execution of operation of a collision damage reduction function.SOLUTION: A control device 10 or 10a includes: a first information acquisition unit 112 for acquiring steering amount-related information; a function control unit 111 for inhibiting operation of a collision damage reduction function when a steering amount is greater than a threshold steering amount, or allowing the operation of the collision damage reduction function when the steering amount is equal to or smaller than the threshold steering amount; a second information acquisition unit 113 for acquiring at least one of physical information of an object and travel-environment-related information; and a travel scene determination unit 114 for determining whether or not a travel scene of a vehicle corresponds to a function inhibited travel scene. The function control unit is configured to execute either of a first process or a second process; where the first process sets, in the case that the vehicle travel scene is determined not to correspond to the function inhibited travel scene, the threshold steering amount increased compared to that in the case that the vehicle travel scene is determined to correspond to the function inhibited travel scene; and the second process stops a selective execution of either inhibition or permission of the operation of the collision damage reduction function based on the steering amount, and permits the operation of the collision damage reduction function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
